Nail Biting

Ruby has developed a nasty nail biting habit in the month. She seems to be most likely to bite her nails when she is anxious or bored. This is our new solution. It is a teething ring attached to a cheap necklace. It gives her something to put in her mouth. It is safe for chewing. And it is washable. I'll let you know how it works.

  1. Oh, what memories your post brings back for me. The many, many ways my family tried to get my younger sister to stop biting her nails. She became a quadraplegic when she was in her forties and once commented to me, "I miss biting my nails!" That was the only time she ever said what she missed.
    I hope your idea works!
