Rehm decided he wanted to do something other than soccer this fall - do you see a pattern here? It would have been way to easy to have two kids doing the same thing in the same league so just to keep Mom and Dad on their toes Rehm decided to take a break.
He really wanted to take some type of martial arts. I'd love for him to but everything I looked into was very expensive or required a year long contract or both. I'm not willing to commit to a year of a sport and wasn't willing to pay over $100 a month for it either. Our gym offered a course but it was on Wednesday evenings and he already has choir then so that was out.
I found the rock climbing coures at the gym and proposed it. Rehm decided if martial arts wasn't a choice that rock climbing sounded like a great alternative.
He is the only boy in the class and probably the youngest as well. He is having a lot of fun. Today he made it all the way to the top of the wall on one of the courses! He was very pleased with himself, as well he should be!

How unique!! Rock climbing sounds like a great idea. This must be the year for shaking things up.
